Holy cow, my to-do list is so large! Every morning I throw together a to-do list and I have about 50 gazillion things. Then I only get three of those things done and it’s like I’m a failure. Then I realize I’m doing it all wrong, my to-do list does not need to be that huge.
For one, I should be out sourcing a lot of the items.
Second, the stuff that I am putting on this list maybe isn’t that important.
What if I look at this list and said if I accomplish three of these things, how cool and how happy would I be at the end of the day?
I look at that list and if I accomplish only those three things, I feel like Fonzie. Whatever I accomplish outside those three items is just an ad-on, a little whipped cream on your mocha.
The main idea is you want to look at your to-do list, pick three and only three things to take on and throw your energy towards. If you get those three things done very single day, whatever they may be, at the end of a typical work week that means you got fifteen major things done. How cool is that? We’re talking extra whipped cream on that mocha.
This is a suggestion for your to-do list, try not to get overwhelmed. Think about it, take it easy, one slice at a time because three things a day that get done instead of fifty million things a day that don’t get done or get done in a chaotic way aren’t doing you any favors.
