What does the word Action mean to you? When you read it or someone mentions the word in whatever context, what do you think of?
Do you think of a movie director? Maybe you think of a film with explosions! Maybe you go back to that book you read a while ago that seemed to make action a necessary thing. Is that book still around?
When asked to name one word that describes me, Action is what came to mind. This is not always a good thing. Often in the sales process with clients I can get genuinely annoyed by people that do not take action. Even if that action were telling me no. The himming and the
hawwing seems to have no real use but to help them delay what is most important in any business venture.
Let me ask you a question. Based on where you want to be in 3 years, what actions do you need to take? Are you willing to take them? If I asked you 3 years ago these same questions, would you wish the answers were different from the actions you took.
Actions can determine where we go and how fast we get there. The lack of action can also help us stay right where we are. Maybe you are happy where you are. I would advise you to not confuse happiness with complacency. Too many people believe that because they feel no real pain to speak of they must be happy. But because of this they fail to actually achieve all of the pleasure they could by taking some action.
In this little blog I would like to offer you one simple piece of advice: take action. Do not accept inaction. You will increase your confidence and power into and through the success you have always wanted by simply taking action. Do not worry about taking the wrong actions. Your gut will tell you when it is the wrong action and you need to take a different action. Over analysing what actions to take and when leads to fearsome inaction. Take the leap, make the jump, move forward, take the step, walk in, make the call, drive there, go there, visit there, or have the conversation. Take the action.
